Children of Morta is a beautiful pixel game with beautiful voice work and a nice story. It's so pretty and is a bit of a dungeon crawler, but eventually you acquire new characters. I don't really have a lot to add. I think that other reviewers were really able to explain it. I'm just here to second that you should grab. this. game.
I love this game. I played this game for years after it's release but lost track. A few years ago, I wondered if my memory of how great it is wasn't just childhood fancy so I started playing again. I was not disappointed. Not only has this game withstood the test of time, there is a fairly big and still active community fixing bugs and modding the game for any changes you might need. I seriously recommend this game for anyone who likes fantasy or strategy games. Like other reviewers have said, it's like Civ II but MORE.
