I have had some interest in this game for years now, but since the release was very lackluster I have never played it until very recently and I really loved the current state of the game. First of all I must mention that there is crossplay between all platforms, which makes it much easier to play with your friends from other platforms, the only problem is that the update here on GOG can lag behind of Steam sometimes. Now about the game itself, it is very pretty, even on the lowest graphics. The gameplay is very smooth, the on foot combat could improve a bit, the base building is very cool and the Corvette, the newest ship type added to the game which is totally modular, is a very cool thing to spend time farming and customizing. The game is so vast that sometimes I get lost on what to do, because I could do so many things.

The Yakuza franchise is know for its beat em up combat, and Like a Dragon totally changes that to Turn Based RPG style. Usually this kind of change in a franchise is not really well seen and not always end up being good but Ryu Ga Gotoku have nailed it, there is even a reason for why all the enemies changes appearance and the changes of professions is... actually a change of profession. The story still have the qualities of the previous games, very funny in the side missions/stories and serious in the main missions. Kazuga Ichiban is a very funny protagonist and a welcome change. All about this game makes this a new start for the Yakuza series while maintaining most of the good qualities of the old ones.

Yes it is currently free but there are lots of DLCs, there are just a few which I'd consider essentials and these are the ones included in the Dinasty Starter Pack plus The Conclave DLC. In my honest opinion at this point, it is more worth to buy Crusader Kings 3 than the DLCs for this game since the base game have most of the content from the DLCs I mentioned, just play this one in vanilla to see if you like the base game mechanics since they are very simillar.

This is an artistical game, it is as beautifull as the screenshots shows. The gameplay is basic but it makes a good use of it, also the game is very short, arround 4 hours gameplay. The story is interpretative in many aspects and very emotinal. If you like this kind of game, GRIS is a worth buy.
