Ever since 1999, when I played Descent 3, I have been hoping for another iteration of the series. I was thrilled to see it pop up in my recommendations and bought it without even a second thought. I knew it would be good, and I was right. I do not usually replay FPS-type games. This one, however, I keep replaying. The controls are fantastic: highly responsive and intuitive. Actions, any action, makes one feel like an ace pilot. Bursting forward, snapping up an item while dodging a hail of fire, pulling off a 0.3 second twitch-play multi axis 180(yaw and pitch at the same time) turn, to then rocket away to cover comes easily. Five out of five. Love this game. I would recommend it to anyone who was a fan of Descent 1-3. You will not be disappointed in any sense. To newcomers, I welcome you to a legacy of superlative gameplay that has existed since the 90's. You, too, will not be disappointed.
