Be prepared to invest about 150h for a full playthrough, with a lot of reasons to add a 2nd and 3rd. If you like min/maxing and don't have much experience with D&D, consider spending another dozen hours on reddit. Truly a great game, with endless amount of possibilities and a love for detail that has become very rare in the Triple A industry.
