After a few hours of play, I finally died for the first time on Normal difficulty. I thought I would take that time to reflect on my first descent...you see, I just can't go back into Grimrock right away. I need a break from those claustrophobic corridors, giant snails, and the soulless Skeleton warriors. My point? This game can get a bit scary at times... Play with headphones cranked and the lights off and you are in for a great and sometimes exhausting time. You can create 4 characters or start with a pre-rolled party. Items come steadily and secrets abound! The classes you can choose from seem fairly robust with some depth to your leveling choices. I am trying a monk build with one of my fighters (Unarmed/Evasion stack), while my other fighter is more traditional with Armor skills and Axes. Great graphics and sound, simple to pick up and play. After I beat this game, I know I am going to be a little sad. More dungeons plz...
