I really wanted to like this game. But it's still a big nope, just like the rest of the series. I was hoping this release would be much better. I stopped playing the previous ones for the same reasons, never looking back. Characters are terrible. As in, I don't like a single one, can't even force myself to like them. Dialogue is terrible. Voiceovers are tacky. Dialogue is really, really bad. It's not funny, it's not quirky, it's not witty, even though it attempts at all of it albeit extremely poorly. Please hire some actual writers. It's unbearable. Way too much going on all at once. I am a seasoned RPG and DND player. Slow. Down. Slow down with everything. This game needs LESS, not more. Less skills, less spells, less options, less talking, less everything. All the nitty gritty 500,000 details completely kill the storyline, or any chance of actually engrossing oneself in the game. It's not fun. It feels like a chore. I don't care how well designed it is and how brilliant the mechanics are if the game itself is NOT FUN. Story, so far it didn't grab my attention at all. Game has a lot of potential, but it needs help, a lot of help. You guys need people to do a lot UAT on players who have never seen the game, or the series. You need better writers (both story and dialogue, it's really bad), and focus on content and RP aspect of the game, not mechanics and nitty gritty stuff. Playing this game is literally exhausting.
You guys nailed it, congratulations. Not a single complaint after solid 30 hours of gameplay. Combat is amazing, right amount of conversation and lore, music is great too.
