Good base but needs polishing

First of all, its a Paradox game. At least their Grand Strategy games are like Wine. Even with a good seasoning they need some time to age, in order to become good. If you want to see a polished and more balanced game, maybe wait some DLC's (and their free content) before you take a deeper look into it. With that in mind, let's have a look at the Seasoning: For me the Seasoning looks fine. I would like to say great, but no, i think fine fits more. The game feels a little like some of the good features known by the other games combined. A more detailed combat system with different units and tactics (Hearts of Iron IV), different types of population (Victoria 2) and character management (Crusader Kings 2). A new feature is the economy. You're able to do more than in other games, since every province produces its own trading good, that provides a bonus for the region. So you got some more options to tweak your empire. On the down side, the especially character management lacks a little depth, there are some bugs/crashes, the UI needs some adjustments and I'm missing some QoL Features known by the other games (e.g. order troops on a ship to run futher than the costal province). Another downside, especially for new players is, that the game isn't that good in explaining the deeper mechanics. You sometimes have to try some stuff to figure out how this'n'that works. For a Paradox Vereteran this may be no big deal, but for new players it could be frustrating.
