This game came bundled with my SB Live! Value sound card to showcase the card's proprietary EAX 1.0 effects. Thanks to the 3dfx Voodoo Banshee card, I was able to play the game h/w accelerated. It was also used to showcase Glide API. Later on with the v2.24 patch it began to support not only Glide but also D3D. The game's atmosphere was tremendous. Both the campaign and botmatch was great. But the sudden-changing techno soundtrack, the AI, fantastic environments made the single player levels awesome. Speaking of the OST, it's unfair that GOG doesn't supply them. They were really catchy. If you want to see what the latest 3D tech was up to in late 90s, just buy it.
