This was what I've been waiting for. An interesting locale, great A.I.M. characters with interesting interpersonal relationships, challenging turn-based combat, and a good Perk, Talent, Trait assortment to make things interesting. The voice acting for the most part are top notch. The art design is also done very well. My first play through I failed because I didn't know how to manage my money and eventually ran out. But my second play through is going much better. I'm on the default difficulty because I just want to get through the story, which is so-so. It's enough to support the gameplay mechanics of combat, squad management and sector defense. I wish that some things were better, though. For example, a better tutorial system. At first, there was no way of knowing how to sync two or more teams to meet in a enemy held sector simultaneously. Then I found out that when the first team arrives, you click the "X" to close the battle window and continue time for the other team to arrive. Or realizing that there is no formal "Shop" to get weapons/ammo/armor. It was never stated, but everything is acquired "in-country", from looting dead enemies or storage containers. There are some balancing issues as well. Get the enemies funneled through a choke point and just "overwatch" them to death. Over all, this was definitely a good purchase.
