Darksiders Genesis

Broken. Unfinished. Buggy. A Joke.

I waited 10 years for this game. Finally playing it with my friend... it's a mess. This isn't a finished game. This isn't a AAA title. Firstly, the jumping... Jumping has no place in a game of this type. Secondly, My friend drops in and out... causes problems. His progress isn't saved. And he encounters invisible barriers in doors that we unlocked last time. Thirdly, We cannot talk to Vulgrim to start the second mission. This is a complete joke. An insult to the franchise. I wish I could get my money and my friend's money back for this.

Toonstruck

A huge surprise, an underrated classic!

I wasn't aware of Toonstruck until GOG offered it for FREE. I was a little skeptical, usually free products mean poor/bad quality... but thankfully, I was pleasantly surprised. Toonstruck is an underrated Adventure Game experience. It feels like Roger Rabbit which is awesome. And it has this 1990's vibe to it which just makes me smile. The characters, story, art style, and humor are all really nice. I love that creepy clown Spike. What an awesome character. Overall, this one really is a gem.

Thimbleweed Park

A Masterpiece of Adventure Games!

Thimbleweed Park is easily one of the greatest Adventure Games in existence. It is perfectly flawless. And it does it all with a classic SCUMM/LucasArts art style... which works amazingly well. Every character is great and memorable. The story is awesome. The location is fun. The humor is laugh out loud funny... what more can I say? It's like someone took Maniac Mansion, Twin Peaks, and Monkey Island... and threw them into a blender. The result is Thimbleweed Park. Ransome The Clown is the darling of this game. And he inspires me to become a better person. My only complaint... is the lack of a sequel/similar games from the studio! I need more!!!

Flight of the Amazon Queen

Surprisingly Enjoyable & Fun Game!

I was never aware of this game until recently. I decided to try it, since I was on a quest to play all the Adventure Games I could find. Flight of the Amazon Queen was a great surprise! I honestly didn't expect much... but the story was great, the humor was great, the characters were great... overall, it was a really fun game to play. I was honestly surprised that it wasn't a LucasArts title... as it has a similar style AND the humor is quite the same. Overall, this one is worth checking out.

Grim Fandango Remastered

Dark, Depressing, Bland...

I can kinda understand why this game wasn't a big hit when it first released. It is a massive departure from traditional LucasArts games. The world of Grim Fandango is a dark, depressing, and bland one. I honestly got to the second half of the game and didn't want to go any further. A world full of skeletons and the occasional odd character... just isn't as interesting as a world of pirates or a pair of buddy cops. The setting, the tone, the characters... it all just seems like a bad choice. The humor is very hit and miss too. Overall, not my kind of Adventure game.

Day of the Tentacle Remastered

Fun game, way too short. Lacking.

I'm a massive fan of Adventure games. And I finally got around to play Day of the Tentacle. I've always been aware of the game, but never got around to actually playing it until recently. While the game still has that LucasArts charm... it feels incredibly short and lacking. The puzzles seem more simple than something like Monkey Island. The ending too was very lackluster. Overall, not
