I and a good friend have played many rpgs in our time, and many mmos too. Sadly missing from most rpgs is the option to play coop with a friend. This game addresses that with load of special coop missions that are challenging and well done. Considering how half-a***d some multiplayer extras are, I was impressed with this game. If you ever wanted to play oblivion with a friend, this is about as close as you could get. The game requires a unique network code to set up the multiplayer, but that is fair enough, I don't think reality pump wants to provide a load of online servers to a bunch of pirates. There must be 30 hours plus of playtime, and that is if you complete the missions. each one is HUGE and is in a new area. If you do not have any friends to play with, then you can join up with up to 8 others on the online servers. Way more fun than an mmo, imho.
I have only played the multiplayer part of the game, which is a completely different set of missions to the main game. The multiplayer aspect is handled really well. from the town where the games all start, to the the player management. Could a multiplayer skyrim be better? For sure. but it does not exist. What this game does is way better than an average online mmo. The fights are really tough, but tactical, and get tougher. the mission levels are huge, and I cannot believe they did all this extra work. If you play with a friend, and you like rpgs, you owe it to yourself to try this game. I have played for over 25 hours, and we are not even half way through. Fabulous Fun.
