I played these games when they first came out and loved them then. Yes, they are older and not every new feature is in them but they work well, are challenging and are worth the effort. A steal at GOG prices. TSR and SSI were kings of D&D once.

I have yet so spend more than a few hours playing this game but it seems to piss me off almost right away every time. I start the game, am awed by the great graphics then I am annoyed at the controls (PC) and find myself dying, unable to control my character or his abilities worth a damn. I've been playing video games for over 35 years and I know a fun game when I play one. This one had potential and I guess some like it, but I am glad I paid only $20. I really kind of hate it. And, I was playing it on the easiest mode with battle option. Try making an interface that isn't so convoluted and overly-sensitive. Sometimes i can't approach things well, my char turns or gets caught in some corner or falls off a slope and cannot get back up. It just goes on and on with frustrating and annoying problems with the interface and world interaction. Too many ways to get frustrated. Not my kind of game.
