I originally wanted to pre-order, but wanted to wait for official reviews. Welp, seemed like a good decision. Anyway, I still wanted to try the game out and experience the game with my own eyes after many bugfixes. About a year after launch I decided to pick up a physical copy of the game. Here's my full experience after about 50 hours of gameplay. The Goods: - Amazing graphics. Visually one of the best games ever, even without RT. - Detailed world. There's just soo much to see and do. My favourite part is to visit cool spots and take screenshots. They all look breathtaking :) - Storyline. The story didn't feel very special, but was very entertaining to play through. - Solid gunplay. It's alright, nothing special. - Hacking mechanics. Really well done. I love to spread karma to enemies by taking control of their own turrets :) - DLC's. Keeps the game fresh and they're all FREE! (well except Phantom Liberty...) - Extra goodies. To my surprise the physical edition came with a lot of nice goodies. Postcards, stickers, world map and even the original soundtrack on CD. Felt like I purchased some sort of deluxe edition when this was the standard edition! Massive W for CDPR here. The Bads: - Bugs. Even though about 95% of all bugs from launch have been fixed, they're are still minor bugs left. While they don't impact my experience, they can be annoying. - Car sounds. A lot of the cars don't sound very realistic at all, especially when driving at full speed. Oh and truck sounds seem to be completely bugged. Why hasn't this been fixed yet after more than 2,5 years?? - Minor performance issues. I play on ultra settings with an RTX 2060 on 1440p. Outside the city I get a solid 75+ fps. Inside the city this drops to about 40-60 fps. Conclusion: Cyberpunk 2077 is a great game. Even though it has some rough edges (thankfully a LOT less than during launch), I've had a lot of fun playing the game. You should definitely get it during sale :) Also can't wait for PL DLC.
