Stranglehold

A fun action game

This game has a good story and some interesting action that rewards you. I like that the game awards you for killing things in interesting ways. Slide down the rail of some stairs and kill enemies or shooting down signs and see it smash their head in and so on. You get some extra abilities to use to help you out and I must say some of them felt a bit to overpowered at times. You can only have 2 weapons equipped at a time and they have their weaknesses and strong points. You can thou swap and pick up another one to exchange for one you have equipped currently. If you don't want to shoot you can run up to them and melee them of course. The ammo refill works a bit weird as if you have to much ammo but not full it will not refill it so you have to get closer to half before it refills your ammo so that was something to get used to. The cover system works well enough. Overall a fun action packed game and some interesting levels.

Shadow Warrior 2

Great follow-up game with one flaw

I loved the first Shadow Warrior (2013) which I can recommend strongly and play it before this one. Not needed it will just make you understand some of the story better in this one. It has its main story missions, side missions and bounties. There are also something called Trials which is needed to be completed to unlock certain "upgrades" to the gems and weapons. These are not needed to complete the game. I did it on No Pain No Gain(insanity 1) with just upgrading weapons 1 time and did just fine damage wise. You can can fix up your weapons to do some great things with the gems you find in the game. The game has a lot of weapons and gems. This is the flaw I find in the game. It has way to many gems and weapons. I like variety but in this one it is just to much and time consuming to go through it all. The combat is fun and can quickly become utter chaotic. Music in the game is awesome. The characters are great. The puns are great. Graphically it is spot on. All in all a great game just with the flaw that it has way to many things that makes it time consuming to go through it all.

Lorelai

Superb 3rd game in the series

I only have good things to say about this game as it was so well written with its characters and story. I will say this is for those who truly enjoyed The Cat Lady and Downfall. The music in the game is really great. The thing I didn't like that much is the weird lightning effects sometimes in some scenes. It still have the same feeling with the graphical style as from the previous games with improvements. This might be something that turns some off and yes it isn't for everybody. I will also mention that there are different endings so be prepared for that. If you enjoyed the previous 2 in the series you will truly enjoy this one. Get ready for one heck of a trip.

Brutal Legend

Rocking fun storytelling with Jack Black

If you love listening to some good old rock and metal music this is a no brainer. Driving around just enjoying the music and even during the missions are spot on. The story is funny with how the characters are interacting with the superb writing. Combat in the game works ok. The two things I can complain about is the driving which can be annyoing during some missions. The other thing is the side missions are very repetetive as most of them are the same stuff which many you have to do if you really want to upgrade and get all the things.

Draugen Collector's Edition

A beautiful psychological journey

The setting in the game is at a wonderful Norwegian Fjord. The game has a very beautiful setting all over. The way I will say what the game is about is a psychological journey as you are looking for your lost sister. You can compare this to a game like "The Vanishing of Ethan Carter". You walk around looking for clues to what have happened in different stages. While exploring you can find extra information about what could be going on even if it is a bit limited as certain areas are unlocked in stages. The music and sounds are very good and fits well. The voice-overs are good. An excellent game.

Deadlight: Director's Cut

A short one with a good story to it

The story in this game is really good. The characters are interesting and connects well with the story. Graphics are well thou at some few points it can be hard to see what is front or background. To solve the different puzzles varies but are mostly simple. You can solve some in different ways too. Just remember there are a lot of hidden things in the game so explore when you can. I enjoyed the game and can easily recommend it.

Downfall: Redux

A step down from The Cat Lady

This game completes the story from The Cat lady. Sadly I felt like the story and characters weren't as good as in The Cat Lady. Otherwise the game is much like The Cat Lady with puzzles, weird characters and dark disturbing environment. It is a decent game which I did enjoy playing through just not as much as The Cat Lady.

The Cat Lady

An interesting and weird experience

Playing through this game was an interesting and weird experience. There are many things happening in this game one wouldn't expect. It doesn't hold anything back. It is a very dark story and cruel so if you can't stand that this isn't for you. The voiceover is good and fits very well. There are some puzzles that can be a bit tricky to solve. Visually things work out well. This game isn't for everybody as it is a slow story telling, puzzle solving game with more disturbing visuals then scary. I enjoyed playing through it.

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice

An immersive experience through a mind

It is a game that is told in an immersive way and capture your attention to follow the travel with Senua in her search. Play with headphones and just enjoy the trip as the sounds are binaural and adds to the full experience in the game. There is some combat in the game but nothing that takes over or ruins the experience. It more adds to the experience. You will understand more when you play it. The story is very well written and grasps you quickly. If you enjoy Norse mythology you will encounter that in the game also as it binds to the story. Graphically also a very stunning game. There are some puzzles in the game but they are easy to handle. This game is top notch for me in every aspect and I recommend it warmly.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance

A good game but with some flaws

The main story in the game is great. You meet many interesting characters that you will have "business" with. Graphical good looking game. Music is great. There is a lot of things to do in the game if you want to. You could just go with the main story and ignore the rest if you wish. Thou some sidequests can benefit the main story. The activities are things that you can do but doesn't really effect the main story. There are a lot of things to consider in the game with sleep, food, reputation and so on in the game as it all will effect you in some way. Equipment will affect you in many other ways also how you are perfeived by people and more. There is a lot of things that will either make things easy as you play through the game and also how you want to play through the game. The flaw I think is the melee combat(meet more then 1 enemy and good luck no matter your equipement). I enjoyed the game even with some frustration with the melee combat(bow solves that thou) and getting stuck on things when riding which shouldn't happen. Only bug I encountered was with lockpicking but could work through it.
