I had a good time playing this game and the story i felt was way better then the first game. I will say many of the aspects of this game were very similar to the firest game. the movement and gun play were improved and the graphics i actually thing was a bit of downgrade from the first one or at least thats what i think. I do love they have a little inter-connected mission between this game and the last game. I enjoyed this games story and the ending had me shook which I did find intresting. The vehciles and the ambiance of the 1950's were amazing and loved the music selction on the radio and it actually made me want the radio on while driving around the city to each mission or during missions. This game showed a good change of clothing style and Vehicle types. Now lets talk other aspects of this game. this game did have the same issues as the first game where on a fresh boot of my pc it ran fine but after a while or rebooting the game after a dinner break or such things the game would have studders but i will say it was less intense during the main story. this leads to me on the DLC content. Jimmy's Betrayal and Jimmy's Vendetta were a mini story and little mission modes and what seems to me a leaderboard mode. the story was decent and had a good grip on me to continue playing. i will say for the studders in this game mode it was alot worse and at times caused me to crash my vechiles and casuse me to die. Joe's Adventure was also a little story and mission mode as well as the leaderboard. it was good way of showing what happened to joe when he is not with the main character vito. It had a good story and seeing joe rise up in the ranks to join the mafia family. This game is a 7.5/10 it was fun and i had a good time playing and its definantly a one and done playthrough. Does have collectables but there were not easy to spot nore did I care enought to find them. All in all i would reccomend this game series to most gamers who are looking for some good classic fun
So my time was not calculated on this game due to having this game setup a a shortcut on my steam as a non steam game and big sad on that. Lets get into my thoughts of this game. The game intro and story itself was good and it kept me really invested into the story. the only issue i had and this could be due to my first time playing a game like this were the story has been decided for you if that makes sense. I felt like there could have been choices i could have made to change the direction of the story but i know that this may be just my opion on this and like i said before never played a game where the story is being told to you in a way were all decision are already made. Now the game play was good i love the old timey vibes of guns and vehicles and how they felt was good only issue for me was the famous Tommy guns felt weird to shot same with shotguns. i enjoyed the lever action rifle and the service pistol the most in this game. I will say this game ran fine no issues first time around then suddenly the next time i launched this game it was studdering and freezing every 20-30mins not sure why as i checked my cpu and gpu and all looked good so my be a odd optimiziion bug as i am aware the game is a few years old now. All in all i loved it and would recommend this game and especially if you get the collection as while i am writting this review i am downloading the second game now. anyway that is all thanks for reading my review of this game.
This is second syndicate game and also in dos box. another game of its time and a hard pass from me. got this game free from amazon prime via twitch. no rating from me. 1 star as GOG requires a rating.
This game had no sound and just a hard pass for me. it was running in dos box which could just be the reason why audio was mostly not working. 1 star rating is due to GOG requries a rating but i didn't give this game a true shot so no rating from me.
