What's more to say than that? These games have simply aged horribly, with bad random dialog trees, awful puzzles (some of the stupidest in any adventure game i've ever played), and an odd sense of space, place and intent. There's some potential here, for sure, but that's where the sequels come in. The tex murphy series may have become classic by the third iteration, but the first two aren't any good by any means. There's nothing really classic about them other than they're old and have some kind of name recognition for adventure fans. And as an adventure fan with no preconceived notions, these two games are remembered than played or better never played at all.

Just about nothing was well done about this game - story, "puzzles," animation, backgrounds, characters, music. All of it is just miserably done with no heart, no creativity or poor execution. It tries very very hard to imitate and doesn't even achieve that. The humor is probably the biggest sign of imitation - each and every line of dialogue tries be a "Tim Schafer" moment over and over again. It's clockwork and it's sad.
