Redout: Solar Challenge Edition

SPEED

I heard about this game when TotalBiscuit did his video on it, picked it up on steam due to his reccomendation. I've actually been hoping this game would come to GOG, so thanks to everyone that helped with that. Don't expect a great story or a ton of depth, it's basically just a series of races, but those races are incredible fun. It starts quick as hell from the beggining, and only gets faster from there. As you play through the game, you start remembering certain corners on certain maps, and by the end of it you'll have the whole track nearly memorized. There's a good variety to the structure of how each one is laid out, and no two feel exactly the same. It's also worth mentioning that the game can crank 240 fps if your system can handle it. I have a 144hz monitor and the game looks amazing at that refresh rate Like I said earlier, it's basically just a series of races, but if you're into that sort of thing those races are absolutely worth the price Controller is recommended. It also appears as though the GOG version does not include the VR mode included in the steam version, at least from what I can tell. I don't own a headset myself, but still think it's noteworthy

THE KING OF FIGHTERS XIII GALAXY EDITION

Requires 60 fps cap

I'm happy to see more fighting games on GOG. We may not have Mortal Kombat X or Dragon Ball FighterZ yet, but we're making progress. Personally, I'm new to the KOF franchise, but I'm enjoying it sofar. A fair bit of warning though. I have a 144 hz monitor, and on first launch, the game was nearly unplayable. Game logic seems to be tied to framerate, as it was running too quickly to control. After putting a 60 fps cap on it with MSI afterburner & RivaTuner, it works just fine.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown Complete Pack

Rich Evans would be proud

A very well made turn based strategy with base building elements and tons of replayability. Is it worth $50? Well it is 6 years old. As well as the game has aged, that' still pretty a pretty steep asking price, even if it comes with all the DLC. Not to say that the game isn't worth it, just that it'll probably depend on your own personal taste. However, at time of writing, the game is on sale for $10, and at that price I cannot reccomend this game enough, regardless of taste. It's XCOM on GOG. Just buy it already.... Also, there any chance we could get Vanquish and DOOM while we're at it?
