Even with its budget limitations keeping it grounded, this is a clever, rich, and soulful addition to the RoboCop mythos that every fan of the iconic action hero should play. Shooting punks is weighty and satisfying, the retro-futuristic cyberpunk atmosphere is spot-on, plus there are a bunch of cool side missions to investigate. Don't sleep on this one. It may not have the glamour of most AAA productions...It's a great game that instead of relying on nostalgia to work, Uses it more like it's a spice. Another proof that you can make good videogames based on the beloved motion pictures. You just have to like the base material...
I recommend this game to anyone. It's fun, it has historical value, it's aesthetically very cool and it runs well on a everything...Oldchool shooter. Simple, fun, challenging. You just start the game and having fun, killing enemies, using powerful weapons, finding secrets. DooM + DooMII+DoomIII does a lot of things better than most modern shooters, including the newer DooM games.
Despite the amount of flak that Doom 3 gets for being a story-driven horror-shooter instead of a run-and-gun FPS like the initial two installments, it is a solid game that stands alone in the Doom franchise. , the gameplay is significantly more challenging (even on lower difficulties), and the ambient audio is quite haunting (though not as much as the original Dead Space's was). As a die hard Doom fan from day one I feel qualified to throw my two cents in here. First of all DOOM 3 (either version) is a different take on the franchise. They are slower, cutscenes, etc. This isn’t the old school fast paced “run n gun” your used to. Is that a bad thing? In my opinion no. It' was a good looking game back in 2004 and still is today,
