HuniePop innovates on the dating sim genre while also displaying it to a western audience in a simplified but very enjoyable manner. The girls you are presented with in the game are diverse to the point where anyone who would want to play the game will find at least one that suites them best. The game doesnt do the standard dating sim visual novel trend of locking you to that character once youve checke a flag, instead allowing allowing you to see all the first 9 girls on the first playthrought! The mechanics of interacting with the girls are nuanced (as you can get with this style of game) and allow an enjoyable time. HuniePop can feel quite asanine at some points so I cant give it a 5.
