Cyberpunk 2077

Best game since Mass Effect!

This game is simply amazing. Apart from a few un-skippable tutorial sequences, this game was everything I expected, and more. It's rare that a game impress me with anything these days, but Cyberpunk really did. The way they have captured the source material to the smallest grain, is jaw-dropping. I finished the game in about 35 hours. So far, 65 hours in, I've encountered 5 bugs. Three which needed to be fixed by reloading the last save. The performance have been solid 60fps, too. Running on a Ryzen 16core, 2060, 32gb. Set High, no rtx/dlss. This is less of an RPG than Mass Effect. I had hoped for branching story paths. You can choose your beginning, and choose your ending. Three of each, that I have found. The mid will always be the same. Most side quests only have one solution, or the option of killing/letting live, which also seem to have the same results. Time passing does not matter. Not for your in-game condition, nor quests that ask you to come over at a certain time, or day, etc. It's more of an RPG than the Witcher, though. Being your own character, with your own traits. As well as several ways to approach all missions. That you can play the way you want. Skill trees are varied. Crafting is powerful, and varied (but clunky). Combat is smooth and weapons have such a great feel. All the way from sound, to impact. You can feel the recoil of sniper rifles and heavy pistols through the screen. The loot is plentiful and well done. Reminding me of Borderlands. That feel of finding, or crafting, a new great legendary is just as good. You can go way overboard with hacking as well. It's not my style of play, so I chose to play it more like Max Payne, with time slowing mechanics instead. The feeling of sliding along the floors, while gunning down enemies in slow-mo is also spot on. Which remind me to mention the reload animations! They are all different, and some weapons have cool flurries, that I never tire of seeing. Definitely best game of 2020, for me.
