Torment: Tides of Numenera - Immortal Edition

How very disappointing

This game had so much potential to be one of the greatest games ever. Sadly, it will instead go down as one of the biggest disappointments ever. The game is way too short. It literally ended just as I was starting to get the hang of everything. I beat the game once and have no desire to ever play it again. Quite frankly I feel duped by all of the hype leading up to the game release. Planescape: Torment is one of the greatest games of all time and quite possibly THE greatest RPG of all time. I played the game to death back in the day and then started playing it again about a decade later. I have logged thousands of hours playing the original. And so you might guess my excitement when I heard that Torment: Tides of Numenera, a "spiritual successor" to the game was going to be released. When I first started playing Torment: Tides of Numenera, I lost interest almost immediately. I couldn't even bring myself to finish the beginning (tutorial) area. About a year passed and I finally forced myself to sit down and play the game that I had paid for. It was decent. Pretty interesting, but definitely no where near to living up to the original. Regardless, I was determined to press on and finish the game. I actually got to a point in the game where the story is just finally starting to pick up and I finally feel like I'm starting to get a feel for combat.... and then... it was over. The game ends way too quickly. The story needed to be double or even triple the length that it was. Do not buy this game.
