I've played almost 30h on Xbox and I must say I love it. Controller support is really good and of course you have to adjust to all predefined settings. The main story is super funny, you have plenty of time to finish tasks, so you might leave it for a while and just survive - hunt, build, craft, cook, flirt. I don't feel a pressure playing this game just enjoy the village atmosphere and play.
