Loved the game at first, quite ready for an unique, but slightly retro campaign of adventuring. Seemed to have a great balance of story, exploring, history, etc like an older d & d adventure. Broken by limited options at times so that you can't proceed. Played only upto really a short point; but from there, there was no way to proceed. I couldn't do the second item, but cause it insisted I do the first, first. BUT you couldn't do the first because it gave you no point to proceed to a fight that it stated needed to be done. I traveled to the same friggen place umpteen times, as that's where it told me to go, but wouldn't let me fight the monsters; SO I WAS TOTALLY STUCK. Couldn't do 2, go back to 1, couldn't do 1............... WISH that these friggen game designers, whatever would MAKE SURE that the product is armor plated BEFORE selling to the public. I don't like to have to waste my money to playtest a product, and CERTAINLY don't like wasting my time on it. This SUCKS! GREAT IDEA, sad execution. Frozen in story (not a problem graphic, hardware, etc...) before it hardly got started. Obviously the GOTO; went....
Just wanted to let any older or slower finger floppers on here know that this has arcade style puzzles that I found make it impossible to get past for those of us that have less than super typing skills. I found it a decent game until attempting one over 50 times (after reading walkthrough) and just quit. So only got to experience the first 4 levels. That makes it NOT FUN!
For the record, I attempted to play this on my keyboard, not having a controller (but this isn't mentioned where I saw in the game anywhere, anyway), and I'm 65 and have not grown up with super action games except nitendo types with the kids. I THOUGHT it was listed as kinda a cute adventure/rpg game, but I barly got started into the game (perhaps halfway through the first level), as if you CAN'T do the action parts you CANNOT advance in the game. For me I HATE games that you can't get anywhere unless you can get by a certain sequence of actions or such. YOU ARE STUCK, and I'm not spending hours attempting to get past ONE LITTLE STUPID sequence. I'm fine on FPS'ers and love most adventure and rpg games. But really HATE these SUPPOSTEDLY rpg's that are based having to do a certain set of actions to continue the game. Same with Psychonauts (which I actually played longer but still ran into the same stupid type "wall" of frustration. HATE THESE TYPES that force one to practice, practice, practice to supposedly get through the F'n game to have "FUN???" Did like the cutesy but hated the forced hurdles. Deleted!
