All I'm gettin is a black screen, a mouse cursor and sound. Fix this game.
This game may not have the amazing graphics that the 2015 Battlefront game had, but this game had by far the better gameplay and the visuals still aren't that bad. There's probably mods out there that can really give this game a much needed makeover. What makes this game better is because it has a ton of maps and even more with mods. There's even a mod that lets you play all the battles from the first Battlefront game that weren't included in the sequel. This game includes pretty much every major battle from the first six Star Wars movies (it doesnt include Force Awakens because it wasn't released back then, although there might be mods to include battles from that movie). There's around 20 maps both on ground and in space. This is widely considered to be one of the greatest Star Wars games ever made, the only game that can top Battlefront II is Knights of the Old Republic. It's still a ton of fun and it's a game every Star Wars fan should have in their collection. The Force is strong with this game.
I can honestly say without hesistating that this is the greatest multiplayer first person shooter game of all time. The graphics are one of the best parts of the game, it's so colorful, stylish and very appealing to look at. It has so many gameplay options, a handful of people still play it online, has a ton of maps and of course, you can play with very intelligent AI bots if you prefer playing offline. This is a game that every fan of first-person shooters should have in their collection, this game is highly recommended.
I'll be perfectly honest, this game aged really badly. But you got to take into account the limitations at the time. If Alone in the Dark created the survival horror genre, then later games like Resident Evil and Silent Hill perfected on it. Many people probably won't enjoy this game because of the amazing horror games that have been released since then. If you can pretend this is 1992 and there is no Resident Evil or Silent Hill, you might get some enjoyment out of Alone in the Dark, it will however take some time to get used to it.
This is one of the scariest games currently available on GOG and it's currently the highest rated horror game on Steam. The game is very simple and yet it has the atmosphere and jump scares horror fans love. This is a game that will make you feel like someone will jump out and scare you, those games are extremely terrifying. I should warn that this game is extremely violent and shouldn't be played by any child because it will give your kids nightmares. It could just as easily give an adult nightmares. This game really pushed the limits as to how violent a game can get, I'm quite surprised it didn't get an Adults Only rating from the ESRB. If you're looking for a game to scare you s*itless, this is the game for you. I highly recommend it if you are a horror fan like me.
