Cyberpunk 2077

A fun, albeit flawed, experience.

To start off, is it perfect...absolutely not. While the game was extremely buggy at release, and is still pretty buggy at this point, I have played many games that were much worse than this. While the occasional graphical or sound glitch (generally surrounding plot points) does need to be fixed by quitting to the main menu and reloading, they are not frequent and the game can be played through them if you are really in the zone. So far, I have only had two bugs occur that made it impossible to progress without reloading the game and both instances involved enemies clipping into walls. The controls are a bit of a pain as the button to skip dialogue is the same button to crouch and the quick sets could have been implemented better. Otherwise, the game handles pretty smoothly. There also seems to be some inconsistency with the choices as characters will reference the opposite choices from what you have made later in the game. Not game breaking, but odd. Graphics, apart from the few previously mentioned glitches, are amazing. I am playing this using GeForce Now on a Chromebook and the visuals are great with steady frame rates. Overall, I am really satisfied with the main story line and there is a good variety of side jobs to work through. The characters are well written and the story is very immersive although the main quest line up to the point of no return is a bit shorter than I had anticipated. Regardless, I would very much recommend this game and would still count it as one of the best I have played in my thirty years of gaming.
