This is the first part of a series that I can't recommend high enough. I really like the art, but also the soundtrack is very fitting in this visual novel. For those that did not cached that in the description - This is a pure Yuri-type visual novel. The main character is a very shy girl that is hoping to break out of her shyness. The story is about her growth, and about her past, but also about blooming friendship and even love. During the story it will become clear why she has so much difficulties in archiving these things. She takes small, but certain steps towards her goal, and while she is hindered by her past, her newfound friends help her to go forward. The school's special Amitié system that not only put the girls together as roommates, but also as a kind of care-group, helps her immensely. It was this system that let her wanting to go to this school in the first place. For some people it can be a slow burner, but I personally don't mind that pace. The story can be lighthearted at times, but also has it's dramatic moments. The cast of characters is very lovable, and every character has it's own quirks and kinks. There are also some mysteries to solve during the game play, and here is where things can get difficult. The way you solve these mysteries is not always very logical. It is not helped by the fact that some of these mysteries have some slight roots in the Japanese culture. I can be fun to try solving them on your own, but be not ashamed to use a walk-though to get through these. They can be really tough to solve, and a bad ending by making the wrong choice is not fun at all. At the end this is a visual novel that will give you moments of joy, sadness and wonder. The art is beautiful, and the music is fitting. The atmosphere is at the same time very real and unreal. There are several endings, but only one ending counts as the "real" ending and is a set-up to the next part of the series.
