It's beautiful. I don't even find the main story all that interesting, but questing through the world while admiring the environment and slaying things was enough for me. It felt like a good old game like Ultima 1, but from a different, more intense perspective.

This is one of the best video games ever created. I played this a year or two after it was released, so my opinion is a little affected by nostalgic ideals, but his is a visually and aurally beautiful game, and it evokes a simple childish sense of adventure in me. Most people who enjoy side-scrolling games and fantasy themed fables will probably enjoy this. And after you finish Trine, you have the fantastic sequels to explore.
