Darkest Dungeon®

Do RPG champions suffer from stress?

Awesome rogue like game for all of you looking for something fresh. While so far I haven't seen anything new in the story or setting of the game, it's the stress mechanic that makes this game shine. Do you think that facing unspeakable horrors for a job won't take a psychological toll greater than the physical one? How do you manage your champions so that they won't break down in the middle of a fight? After each run your party automatically replenishes all of its hp but stress builds up unless you do something about it. Depending on the champion you can send your guys to pray, meditate, drink a few beers or just chill at the local whorehouse. The art of this games helps you convey the frightening monsters and settings where your champions go questing. The music makes the atmosphere darker and in the end you start to feel more afraid of that stress bar going up than of the hp one going down. Expect champions dying, quests go horribly wrong and never having enough resources for your town. However you will rejoice whenever one of your guys, being at death's door in the middle of a fight, rises to the occasion and fearlessly faces his own mortality. Expect a lot of dying, fleeing and fail runs in this game.
