Game looked interesting but of course being marked as 'in development' I had to look further only to find that the game has been abandoned. How is it that GOG sells trash like this but passes on completely finished indie games that are too 'niche' for their 'curators'?
While the single-hero (as opposed to having a party of 4-6 adventurers) may keep many die-hards away the game is a well crafted throwback to dungeon crawlers of the 90s. Beautiful artwork, multi-outcome quests & a sense of exploration hat isn't hindered by waypoints and markers are some of the highlights. In the last 10 years (so no nostalgia) I've played and enjoyed Might and Magic 1 through 3 as well as Eye of the Beholder 1 & 2 and this continued to provide that fix.
I am elated to see these games DRM free and instantly bought them just to show how much it matters! The original Dishonored is my favorite of the series to be sure. The silent-protagonist and the overall atmosphere is stronger than the sequels, in my opinion, though they are great games as well. The DLC is also fantastic both additional story campaign as well as the challenge modes which are quite fun and... challenging. These games are not just stealth or action games but fall into that sweet, sweet "Immersive Sim" genre that is a rarity these days.
