Make no mistake, despite this being yet another carbon copy weebstick and magic game, it offers depth not only in plot related decisions, but also in combat and build variety. (after you've installed a mod to fix the guns.) The AI for party members, while simplistic, is functional, something those owlcat morons couldn't achieve if they had 5 lifetimes. As far as Iso RPGs go, this one plays like the best. ISO RPGs rely heavily on story telling elements, and in this case it is unfortunate, since most of the writing seems to have been done by someone with the intelligence of Terrence Howard......(he preaches that 1x1=2 for example, and that molecules are bi-sexual) While some of the concepts are interesting, the non-stop in your face spirituality crap is preachy to the point of detracting from the overall experience.

Some people are into BDSM with no self respect, some people are deranged and get off to micro managing others because they have an inferiority complex. In stark contrast, others...want AI companions to think for themselves. There are many examples of garbage AI in games. I thought the AI for Skyrim horses were the worst mankind has yet conceived, only to be shocked by the AI of the Legend of Zelda OOT horse...and much to my horror, PathfinderKingmaker has managed to out do them ALL. Hands down the laziest most garbage excuse for an AI. Impossible to play without micro managing. TEDIOUS as hell, and makes the characters feel lifeless since they are literal puppets. Character limit for an in depth review? Seriously GOG? Another reason to only buy from steam. Fine. Concise list of flaws. All alignment options have been replaced with their stupid counterparts. for example, instead of lawful evil, you instead get, stupid evil. The AI is a crime against humanity The dialogue options for pivotal story points are nonsensical to the point of being REALLY brain numbingly stupid. There is no option to disable enemies exploding into meat chunks which does nothing but add a cartoony feel, further watering down any flavor combat might have had. You get stuck with POS "companion" that not only has the almighty plot armor, but wastes no opportunity to screw you over. Maybe Betas and simps find this appealing, but not anyone with any kind of self respect. Unpolished.
