Just to get this out the way, the complaints about censorship are not deserving of any attention. The degree to which the game's dialogue and voice acting are different from the original source material is completely inconsequential. To be honest, I thought the new VA did the part perfectly and I very much enjoyed their performance. Now that I've covered that, here are some thoughts about the game (and I'll try and cater to newer players a bit here). The gameplay is simple and easy to understand, which makes it no problem for new players. I often used a mouse to move, since I needed to click on items on screen anyway, but it was nice to have the option of keyboard movement. The visuals are the best they've ever been, and the redesigns are more faithful to the original comic book art style of Purcel's work. Given the fact that this is about a pair of anthropomorphic animal detectives, this was a good touch. It's certainly worth playing the remaster over the original just for the visuals. One thing I will say is that it is really challenging at times. I had to peek at a walkthrough once or twice and I would have liked to see some kind of hint system throughout the game. Of course, there is something similar to that in episode 6, which was helpful. Nevertheless, I thought it was a pretty good, challenging game and it's worth your time and money.
