ECHELON

OMG Blast from the past.

I Played the original back in the day on a 1984ish PC<4.77mhz/XT<8mhz custom build with CGA/Hercules monochrome graphics. Both had physical switches for which graphics to use and which processor speed. 640Kb Ram, 80Mb hard card(hard drive on an expansion card) This is a 5 star for nostalgia. Its also the last game I played on that machine before i dismantled it for recycling around 2004. It was cutting edge for its day including voice synthesis for the craft. Do realize it is a game from 1988 so don't expect too much. For myself instant buy. The minimum requirements listed above are thousands of times what the software was originally designed to run on.

Caesar

Earliest version of the Caesar games.

Nostalgic for those of us who played it. Think original sim-city Roman style. Play for nostalgia, not functionality unless you port it to your phone or something. Caesar II & Caesar III were far more functional. I lean slightly towards Caesar III.

Primitivo

So 1984, love its clunkiness. For someone who played on mainframes, and had pc/XT/AT boxes this is a wonderful reminder of the sidescrollers. Not quite the same but still very fun. Not Flightmare, but really quite nice, See you Leathernecks.

Akalabeth: World of Doom

D@mn, I remember this

I remember this and Wizardry 1 on Apple II iirc. Then Roberta and Ken Williams released the original King's Quest on PCjr and PC. Kinda blew the world away. Still going to play AWOD for nostalgia kicks.
