Shadow Warrior 2

its like doom but with wang in hand

Idk about these "shallow" reviews but I found this game to be amazing. I cant believe I had skipped it, and now its my main focus. The game is packed full of awesome enemies with lots of diverse combat for each enemy. The weapons are plentiful and drop randomly, and the advance sword option makes me feel challenged when going one on one constantly trying to parry and attack. Its like a first person ARPG that I feel is done very smoothly and refreshing to the genre. The maps are huge and open and the teleport system makes you feel as if the entire world is open for hunting. Givin the ability to "free roam" maps or hit that bounty board for some fun leaves the replay much higher than most games these days. The crafting system, after getting through the story a bit, and the overwhelming amount of "gems" for weapons is a great addition to create your own play style or weapons for certain types of enemies. The states granted by these are very far apart with just millions of different possiblities for "builds" to fit your style. I feel like im playing a funny asian doom meets diablo-esque lol only something flying wild hog and digital devolver could come up with. Get this game you wont regret it and as I havent touched the multiplayer yet I've enjoyed running solo a lot more than I expected. 10/10 for the amount of Wang jokes and replayablity

Starbound

Love it

I have spent quite awhile in this game, have I went over board and done every possible thing and explored every possible thing? no. What I did find was something unique to get me away from terraria and into a more scifi setting with tons of awesome stuff to do. Loot, explore hundreds of randomly gen planets, meet awesome alien races, and raid space ships, oh and dont forget build your own mech. Idk I didnt follow this game until about last year and Im not a hardcore gamer like I use to be but I find this game satisfying.

Pillars of Eternity: Definitive Edition

I personally love it

Ive always wanted to get into CRPGS, as finding a real group for PPRPGs has always been unrealistic for me, Ive tried them all and could never finish them. Although I find myself coming back to the baldurs gate and nwn series multiple times a year for years now and never getting far before I leave and repeat the process. This game Pillars of Eternity has me coming back every time wanting to finish it. Ive never found myself so indepth with a Crpg like this one, its frustrating and satisfying all at once. It just reminds me of how great a company can be compared to all the AAA crap today. This game has a lot to offer and I mean a lot it makes me feel like I'm playing the closest thing to a D&D game without actual players than the actual D&D games make me feel, aside from atmosphere. Now with that being said I'm not familiar with 3.5 for BG and the other titles aside from what those games have to offer and I think Im finally determined to finish them but when I am home from work and on my pc I always spend some time on this game. The classes feel genuine, the story keeps me hooked for someone who gets bored easily, the combat is challenging but the the difficulty settings are so well balanced, and the connection to how you can really think about how you want your character and make it happen in game. The customization for the races are kinda dull which is about the only thing I find disappointing but if you can get past having to have a million options to choose from this game is totally worth it. Go into it thinking about how youd make a character in 5e. Anyway as Beamdog has been the only other company Ive thanked for the awesome support and great entertainment as do you Obsidian get this thanks from me. Keep up the Awesome work!

The Temple of Elemental Evil

Love It!

As a fan of crpgs I love this game, with the Temple+ mod, this game is a must add to the collection with NWN, BG, IWD, PoE, the list goes on. Gotta grab that Temple+ mod though it adds more races, better graphics, and lots of fixes to the table.

Divinity 2: Developer's Cut

Color me impressed

I've played some of the older divinity games but never could get them to stick as much as I wanted them to and I believe I came across this game last year but ignored it because it had awful reviews but seeing it on here and all the amazing reviews I decided to go for it, esspecially for the price [sale]. Holy crap these graphics are really nice for todays standards, I mean wow. This skill tree isnt crazy huge but they are interesting to say the least, I think the ability to create a golem out of dead parts found on your adventure is super neat. This is definitely a hidden gem and if you're a fan of Rpgs grab this one.

Pillars of Eternity: Hero Edition

Best Rpg I've played in years

Constantly wanting more and the curiousity it arouses in me on whats going to happen next is addicting. I usually have a hard time sticking to games with a lot of areas spent talking but I just find this whole universe riveting. I've read a lot where people had said theres more time spent talking than combat but I never had that issue, though I usually saught out combat with enemies as much as possible, and I gotta say I never felt like the text was too drawn out. Now my attention span is kinda crap so there were quite a few books in game I tried to read but they couldnt keep my attention, along with some minor conversations, but really most of the "important" text or the text to at least get the main story and whats going on is all voice acted so if youre worried about that dont. Theres a vast array of options this game offers, from tons of choices having consequences later in-game to really deep character customization, skills, and interactions. Pillars of Eternity is a Must for any Rpg lover wether it be videogame rpgs or pen and paper you'll love PoE.

King Arthur II: The Role-Playing Wargame + Dead Legions

Not well put together

I own this on steam and couldnt spend more than 10 mins in game without throwing it out the window. The game seems like it couldve been really good but the camera has to be one of the worst I've ever dealt with. Moving it around I could get use to but the game was just full of glitches, broken textures, ect.
