No Man's Sky

A new game every year

Having played since launch on various platforms, accumulating over 2500hrs of exploring, exploiting, discovery and building, I can honestly say this game has been a new experience every year. I was excited for launch having been stuck playing TES and toxic FPS games for so long. They accomplished at launch what i wanted next, and have only improved upon the game since. There wasn't much in the beginning, but they have consistently turned the entire game upside down several times to revolutionize the ways people can play. It's basically an open multiverse with a big focus on building, and discovery. They probably could have left the game where it was in 2018, and most people would have been happy with the $60 they spent. They maybe should have started work on a NMS2 instead of increasing the minimum specs with the 4.0 update, but it's still better than current competitors by far. The fact that it runs *almost* as good on my switch as the PC i built to run it in 2016 is pretty incredible, to me. I don't think this game will ever be shelfed, certainly not in this generation of gaming.
