It's the controls , or complete lack of contol, that seals it, but by no means the only failing. Regardless of whether you use new or 'Modern' control schemes it remains unresponsive and at times all together random. Having no graphics options is just lazy. The frame rate tanking if you switch to original look is either some misguided effort at nostaglia, or ineptness. Why , oh why is there no mouse look. I can fire up an old Sega Saturn , stick the disc in and play the game in a much more enjoyable way than this sorry attempt can muster. Save your beans and play Annivesary.
I'll be using a Megadrive emu for this then. Utterly unplayable for me as the controls are locked .
