Destroy All Humans!

Want more

After finishing the game, i can say i love it. I never player the first game, but i still like it, even without the nostalgia. The good : - Funny story with quite fun dialogues. I like that it doesn't care about puting in satire about almost everything. - Funny NPC lines : THEM (a cult classic movie), They came to kick ass and chew bubblegum.... - Anal probing, telekinesis, fireworks...very fun weapons. - Nice graphics. From the few images i've seen of the first game, the graphics seem taken from the first game and upgraded nicely. - A few quite satisfying cut scenes. - Polished gameplay. The controls feel nice and slick. The bad : - Troughout my gameplay, i found one bug : sometimes if i use the holobob on a random NPC, when i look another way they would disapear canceling my disguise. Hope they will patch this and make NPC used for diguises stay. - Too short. Thought the story is very nice, the game didn't give me enough to feel satisfied. Without spoiling the story, it seems to me the devs are saying there might be more coming in the future. Time only will tell.

CARRION

A very nice game

I liked the game. Finished it in a few hours. That is the only bad point of this game, which also indicates how great it is. The ending gives me hope for a continuation and if there is one i'll play it too. One weird point of this game was seeing a rather long list of voice actors...in a game that has no voice acting other than dying cries of slaughtered humans. Also liked "Pointless business meetings". The gameplay is nice, when you get used ot it. Several times i was trying to use the keyboard to move instead of the mouse. There was one small itsy bitsy problem : when i had a grate above an opened door, i couldn't grab the grate, i was always grabbing the door, even though the mouse was not over the door. But that does not impact the game in anyway since you can either close the door or simply remove the door. I didn't get all the upgrades but the game doesn't require having all the upgrades, if anything the game is perfectly fine without upgrades. The upgrades simply make the playtrough easier. The story has it's obsure parts, but since the game is wordless, it's quite easy to understand. All in all, an enjoyable game that made me want more.

Blacksad: Under the Skin

Great game with 2 big problems

I just finished the first playtrough. I loved a lot of the game, but as the title says, there are 2 glaring point for which i removed the stars : - The lesser evil : walking. There are quite a few big rooms, And the character's movement is limited to walking speed. It's very annoying. - The big one : unskippable logos, cutscenes and dialogues. This should NOT EXIST anymore. 'Nuf said. When i see the game's great story, nice graphics and excellent player involvment into the story, i just can't understand why the 2 problems i had with the game were even present. Clearly the people that were woeking on the game were not beginners, yest they still failed to remove those points. That said, other than the 2 point cited previously, i liked the rest enough to not mind the few times i felt discomfort troughout the story.
