You really can't go wrong in buying this. Just make sure you play lots of Ultima 4 before playing 5. It makes U5 all the more fun to play through.
I can't believe so many people remember this game as being any good. It does have an interesting story, and the concept is pretty good as well, but the controls are absolutely HORRIBLE. I had gotten this game back when it had come out, and that's the main thing that has stuck in my mind about this game - poor controls. I had given it several chances. It does look good, and I really wanted it to be good, it just wasn't. The controls alone turn this into what would have been an interesting adventure into a frustrating mess that's simply no fun at all to play. This game makes me wish I could give a game negative stars.
