By far the best mode of play is multiplayer and skirmish modes the best thing about this game however was its open architecture and the strong developer community. With just a little bit of practice you could build your own units and buildings. I spent tons of time modding mine. Tons of fun!

I was first introduced to this game via Demo Disc and loved it so much I just had to find it. Although long due for a reincarnation I can still play this game for hours on end. Knights and Merchants is a meticulously detailed real time strategy game. It's so fun to build your village that some times you forget that you have to defend yourself against enemies. A must have for any fan of the Castle age and Real Time Strategy. Thank you to GOG for adding this hard to find treat. For those of you who think this game takes too long to play 'F8' speeds up time. Also if you would like a better Icon for the game one can be found at http://shoedude.deviantart.com/art/Knights-and-Merchants-142302896. It's a .png so it will work as a dock Icon and with Windows Vista.

I've always loved this game. From the moment I first played it from a demo CD more than 10 years ago I've been a fan. It's well worth the $5.99 price tag. This is a simple point-and-click action game originally from Westwood (The makers of such fine video games as The Legend of Kyrandia series and Command and Conquer). For those who are interested I've made a Dock Icon for the game which you can download at Deviant Art. Just search for Cannon Fodder.
