This game got a lot of particle effects that will freeze the screen (not the game) if the main character is too close to it when they go off. And it happens in every graphical config available, filtered or unfiltered, fullscreen or windowed mode. Otherwise, it's a solid 4/5 metroidvania with good bossfights and decent story.
