A few crashes of windows 10 base game. Crash every time on Alexandra expansion. Game is 10/10 when running.
This game is notoriously unstable and hard to launch. Usually GOG fix this issue but not this time. Always instant crash on start. I can play around with settings in launcher, but whatever I try there is launch crash. Steam version is more stable, it crash randomly but at least it start.
Never been a rpg-fan but after so much praise on this game I decided to try. The game plays like this. 1. 5 min dull story animation 2. 10 min very boring "combat" actually it is just clicking and nothing more. 3. repeat step 1 and 2 throughout the game. I had to replay first part due to a bug preventing progression. Only to start the game over. There are quite a few of this when I searched game forums. Movement and controls (keyboard and mouse) are very clunky, but since it is just clicking I guess it do not mater much. The story so far is pretty much your standard fantasy story, not much creativity. I small variation of what you heard twenty times before. Since there seem to be no skill required there is not really any gameplay or sense of progression. you just slowly click things over and over and over......
This is the game I have spent most time playing hands down! Absolutly loved it in 1994 and still do. Can be played over and over. I still play my 1994 copy on DOS-box.
