This is a hard game. The war is expensive, you must support your population withs needs (food, meat, then sugar etc). You can choose to have a simultaneous turn. It means you all play you turn and then you end it. It's still a turn/turn, but it's better. The diplomacy is good, the AI is good, you have to make choices (taking control by force might seem easier than being ok for MANY turns with little countries... but not often because you have to feed your armies). This is one of my favorite oldies, with Alpha Centauri and Railroad Tycoon II. Imo, there is no game such as this one, despite its old age. That's why I still have the CD !
