Even though I have been playing Vampire the Masquerade since 1992, I wasn't always super-beholden to the original Bloodlines. I wasn't coming into this with nostalgia ready to be destroyed. I actually think of it the same way I think about the original Bloodlines and Swansong. They're pretty, they have neat characters, an interesting plot, but the gameplay is... unsatisfying. Traversing a city for three or four minutes for thirty seconds of dialog gets old fast and the combat system is just janky. I do like the characters they introduced and I'd love to see more of them, just with a different game.

I got CP2077 on the PS4 at launch and was just as disappointed as the rest of us. Updates made it better and a pretty good game. Now that I have a computer that can run it, I decided to grab the Ultimate Edition, to see if the 2.0 upgrade that the PS4 didn't get was worth it. IT WAS. So much better looking, so much smoother skill progression and advancement options. It took a few years, but we finally got the game we were promised way back when.
