For the most part i really liked the game. The combat is good and the story/quests are fine as well, albeit nothing to brag about. I agree that the horse movement is a bit clunky so i only used it when traveling from point A to B on roads, not when exploring rough terrain looking for loot, but i think that fits thematically so i didnt really mind it. I really disliked the paladin (started with it and switched to warrior after like an hour - she just has the most obnoxios personality, enjoyed the story/quests alot more after). The biggest issue for me was that you got locked into a choice if you follow a matching morality path. There are also a couple QoL changes that i would have liked to see. You can only track 1 quest at a time, only have 1 (unnamable) marker on the map, no sorting system for inventory ... Overall i really liked the game but it certainly has some issues. I have played all the previous games in the series and i dont get the hate this game gets. I really liked the previous games to, though to be honest they were all just a copy of the legend with a new storyline and a couple of new units. Say what you will about this one at least its an actual new game.
