I can't believe this game seems to be held in high regard. I love games from this era but this was disappointing in pretty much every way. The setting is extremely bland as are the characters, music is forgettable, and what humor there was didn't do much for me. I did like the artstyle however and the game does have some creative ideas. The gameplay just wasn't fun for me - trying to capture enemies alive took all the fun out of the combat and it seems like most encounters (especially bosses) are not even designed for it. 3rd person mode is basically only good for traveling from location to location. The shooting feels extremely unsatisfactory because enemies are ridiculously good at dodging your shots (especially if you shoot a slower moving one like a Thudslug) and when you do connect it takes a lot of hits to kill them - the bees might as well be tiny pebbles for the amount of damage they do. Stealth is presented early on as something you'll have many opportunities to do but that is not at all the case. Enemies are comically accurate and it doesn't seem to matter how much you try to dodge. I gave up at Lefty Lugnutz because I just couldn't take anymore.
