Coming off a first playthrough of Darksiders 1 and 2 I was extremely exited to give 3 a go but unfortunately after an hour (about 30 minutes of game time due to cut scenes) I was so disgusted with how bad it was I uninstalled it. The main character is a caricature, poorly written and annoying to listen to, and my god do you have to listen to her. The game is obsessed with cut scenes taking you out of the gameplay at every opportunity including in the middle of boss fights. Just when you think you are out of a cut scene Bam in game dialog cut scene where you move at an exceptionally slow pace. Remember in Darksiders 1 where you have an annoying companion well this one is cranked up to 11! Game looks decent graphics wise but some of the assets are worse that in the originals. The combat was anemic it never felt like you actually were powerful and if you get scratched half your health is gone. remember how both the first games had destructible assets and there were reasons to destroy them, well this game has some destructible assets and they do occasionally drop things but Cars are now invulnerable. Combat is off as well the whip looks to be about 30 feet long but if you are more than about 5 feet from the enemy it seems to miss an inordinate amount of the time. Dodging is only effective against some attacks, with AOE attacks its very spotty at best.
