There is a charm in Dredge that combines lowkey eldritch horrors with beautiful music and gameplay that's almost cozy. By the end I cared more about upgrading my ship and catching new fishes than the main quest which ends too quickly but the pacing of progression is really well done though hardly incentivized besides the player's own interest in upgrading his ship. Great game, felt tiring at the end. I thought it could have been more but still, it's a unique and creative stab at a fishing game and we see so few of that, let alone so few new ideas. Just for that, it's 100% worth playing
