Capital Command Demo

solid foundation for a demo

what's available here is a solid enough foundation to build on. being a demo it is obviously limited in scope and what's available to do. the tutorial can do more in what it needs to explain and how it does that. specifically when it comes down to combat. setting batteries to point defence or using them offensivly needs better explanation as it's major part of the combat loop. not saying it needs to hold your hand but it is vague at the best of times. however once you get passed these minor niggles and figure things out you'll happily be blasting away at the enemy. i can see this easily being easy to learn and hard to master if these minor deficiencies are sorted out graphically it looks real good, the unity engine is really turning out to be rather good and the ship designs are pretty much right in my wheel house. nothing sleek here. giant and chonky war machines blasting away at each other sound design is good as well. when your engines engage to the sound of the main guns firing you know your ship means business other than that 3 stars. mainly as it's not the complete product so it is subject to change

Bright Memory

Fun for what it is

definately a breath of fresh air in a stagnant genre, the combat is fast and fluid. the game is intuitive and the ui doesn't feel tacked on. i'd love to see where this goes and i hope more folks support it.
