This is one of the best Star Wars games ever made and it surely was ahead of it's time, with unique playable characters, different maps and a solid campaign, instant action mode, galactic conquest and multiplayer. Star Wars Battlefront 2 is a game that I'd recommend to all gamers, and thanks to it's modability it's community is still alive and growing. This mods usually work online; "Battlefront 2 Remaster Project" for instance helps updating the game's graphics while keeping the same gameplay. Unforgettable game that I (and probably many others) will keep replaying forever.
