Sniper Ghost Warrior 2 is better than the first, but it's more or less more of the same. Enemies are less tuned to your location than the first, but still, one error and every single enemy is able to hone in you in short order. It's a slightly open environment, but really on rails except for a few select areas that allow a bit more free roam. Buy it on sale for a couple bucks and it's well worth the price for a few hours of entertainment. On easiest difficulty it really isn't too hard, and just a fun evening or two distraction. Can be a bit frustrating at times when you screw up and insta-die because everyone can lock on to you from a distance. I'm currently romping through all the Sniper Ghost Warrior games, currently on 3 and so far it's been fun regardless. I wouldn't spend full price on it, but well worth it on sale for $2-3. Not really due to gameplay, but because it's really only about a 5-6 hour game.
I love stealth and sniper games. This is really an arcade shooter with Sniper in the title. It does have sniping, but in a limited sense. Biggest issue is that enemies are WAY too tuned into your location. There is no room for error. If you ever get seen, everyone will snap on to you instantly and you have little recourse but to do your best to mow everyone down, but more likely die. Graphics are as expected for the era, nothing great, but nothing I'm going through all the Sniper Ghost Warrior games at the moment, and this one is the least endearing so far (I'm currently midway through Ghost Warrior 3). But on sale for a couple bucks, it's an enticing 5 hours or so of gameplay.
