Project Warlock

A good game, but with many problems...

The game is pretty cool and all and I enjoy the weapons, the upgrades, the spells and the way you can boost your stats and unlock perks. The gameplay is pretty good. However, there are many problems that I think really ruins the game for me personally for now: -Framerate: For some reason, on my MSI GTX 1080 Ti OC 11G, the game has framerate issues (especially on exterior maps). This might be an isolated problem with my machine; -Weapon scrolling: Scrolling through your available weapons with the mouse wheel will always skip weapons (how does one mess up weapon scrolling?). Using the corresponding numbered keys is a must;. -Movement: You can enable auto-run which makes you move around pretty fast, which is good. However, movement itself is pretty choppy and turning around will sometimes be stuttery. I wish the movement was really smooth like true oldschool shooters. This might be related to my first point about framerate issues; and -Resolution: I have a 1440p monitor and the highest resolution this game allows is 1080p. This made the game extremely dark for me and I had to play around with the settings (Brightness at 0.50 at Threshold at 0). I thought the game was really dark through the entire first episode and everything is well after changing my graphical settings a bit. This game just came out and Buckshot Software will hopefully fix these issues in the future. I cannot give it more than two stars for now but if the game gets better as time goes on I will edit my review with the appropriate score. Even with these issues the game is still playable and I enjoy it a lot.
